Every weekend many in Australia participate in organised sport. Many participants, coaches, spectators, and committee people are focused on the result. Feeling the pressure that is created by the contest.
Keith Miller AM MBE, in my opinion Australia’s greatest cricket all-rounder with a test batting average 36.97 (2,958 runs) and bowling average of 22.97 (170 wickets) was once asked by Michael Parkinson about pressure playing cricket. Miller’s response was, “pressure is a Messerschmitt up your arse, playing cricket is not.”
How true. Just go out and participate. The result goes your way, great. If not, so what. Focus on the next game.
